JL Roc Paperscissors (JL Sirocco x Cut No Slack by Red) at Diamonds & Dirt won 3rd in the Slot Race, 4th in the Futurity 2nd go, 2nd in the Futurity finals average (running the fast time of the finals), totalling $43,317 for the weekend. He has won $86,757 so far in his futurity year with two different riders, thanks Mark Bugni for taking the reins!
JL Roc Paperscissors was third overall in the Juvenile Futurity and won the Future Fortunes Sire Slot Race. I remember the first year I ever attended the BFA. I was running Sirocco's dam, Solara. I also remember watching the Juvenile and thinking I could never get a colt competitive at that age. I feel fortunate to have a colt who has proved I can be competitive in the Juvenile. He comes from the heart of my program. His dam is an own daughter of Red. His sire, Sirocco, is by the immortal DTF and out of the mare who basically started it all for me. The horse business is tough. It's my passion. And what my MT bred and raised gelding did this week reminds me why I love this business so much.
